Radamel Falcao 'accepts Manchester United career is over'

Radamel Falcao reportedly understands that he does not have a future at Manchester United after he was dropped to the reserve side on Tuesday.

Radamel Falcao has reportedly accepted that he will not receive a permanent contract at Manchester United after failing to make an impact at Old Trafford.

The Colombian was widely expected to stay with United beyond his season-long loan from Monaco, but there have been numerous signs that manager Louis van Gaal does not see the striker in his long-term plans.

The 29-year-old was left on the bench in Monday night's 2-1 defeat to Arsenal in the FA Cup quarter-finals and was dropped to the Under-21s the following evening.

According to the Daily Mail, Falcao was 'shocked' to have been placed in the reserves, but has realised that he does not have a future with the Premier League giants.

The publication has also claimed that the striker's camp believe that Falcao was only signed by United because Van Gaal failed to clinch his priority signings last summer.
