Manchester United are reportedly on the verge of securing the services of Athletic Bilbao midfielder Ander Herrera.
Speculation over the last 24 hours had claimed that the Red Devils had agreed to pay the 24-year-old's release clause, which is believed to be in the region of £30m.
Talks have since progressed even further, with the deal likely to be finalised either later today or tomorrow, according to the Manchester Evening News.
Should Herrera make the switch, he will become the club's first signing since Louis van Gaal agreed to take charge of the team earlier this summer.
