Roy Hodgson claims that Aaron Wan-Bissaka is 'not bothered' about talk of an end-of-season move away from Crystal Palace, with Manchester United said to be interested.

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson has praised Aaron Wan-Bissaka for staying focused on his game amid links with a move to Manchester United.

Having previously been touted as a target for Arsenal and Manchester City, a report in the British press this week claimed that United have also added the young full-back to their transfer wishlist.

The 21-year-old is in line for a first call-up to the England senior side later this month after holding down a first-team spot at Selhurst Park this season.

Despite the ongoing speculation, however, Hodgson insists that Wan-Bissaka is 'not bothered' about which sides are interested in him as he is only focused on Palace.

"What I like about him is that he continues to work hard at his game, and the professionalism he shows," he told reporters.

"And the fact he has kept his feet so firmly on the ground when a lot of good things are being written or said about him, and there is the usual speculation when you have a good player, at a club at our level in the table.

"But for Aaron, it doesn't seem to have bothered him with the speculation. He is happy to be with us and he has signed a long-term contract.

"He works hard at his game to make certain he keeps up that level of consistency and his work rate, and work ethic, with the necessary humility to continue to learn and grow, these are wonderful assets that he has that will make him in to a better and better player."

United are also reportedly targeting Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic and Napoli centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly.
