Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Manchester United deal 'close to being finalised'

Zlatan Ibrahimovic's move to Manchester United will be finalised by the end of next week once he receives a pay-off from Paris Saint-Germain, according to a report.

Former Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic will reportedly complete his free transfer to Manchester United next Friday.

The 34-year-old has returned from international duty with Sweden after a disappointing personal showing during his national side's group-stage exit at Euro 2016.

Ibrahimovic is now free to finalise a switch to Old Trafford and, according to Sky Sport Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, official confirmation will be made by the end of next week.

It is claimed that the decision to delay the announcement is down to the prolific forward's hopes of landing a big pay-off from PSG, which requires him to remain a free agent until July 1.

Ibrahimovic is expected to sign a 12-month deal with the Red Devils, including the option of one additional season, with his wages in the region of £275,000 a week.
