Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim has reportedly been left 'unconvinced' by forward Rasmus Hojlund, who faces a battle to preserve his future at Old Trafford.
Hojlund is currently in his second season as a Man United player after completing a £72m move from Atalanta in the summer of 2023.
The Dane experienced a difficult start to Premier League life, failing to trouble the scorers in any of his first 14 matches in the English top flight.
However, he soon hit his straps to net 10 goals in the next 16 league games, helping him finish the season with 16 goals in 43 competitive appearances.
Unfortunately for Hojlund, he has been unable to kick on in his second season as a Premier League player, having netted just two goals in 18 league matches.

Hojlund battling for Man United future
The 21-year-old has at least managed to offer a useful contribution in the Europa League, scoring five goals in seven matches in the league phase.
However, it seems that his European form has not done enough to prove to Amorim that he is an indispensable member of his squad.
According to talkSPORT, Amorim has been left 'far from convinced' by Hojlund since he took over the reins in November.
The Denmark international was previously said to be among a group of players that Man United would be unwilling to sell.
However, that stance looks to have changed following Amorim's assessment, with Hojlund said to be 'on trial' between now and the end of the season.

Italian giants monitoring Hojlund
The forward is now under pressure to prove himself to his head coach, otherwise Man United could entertain offers in the summer transfer window.
Napoli and Juventus are believed to be monitoring Hojlund's situation at Old Trafford, and the Italian giants could offer the striker a Serie A return in the summer.
However, even if Man United decide to listen to offers, they will still demand a considerable fee, with Hojlund under contract until the summer of 2028, with the option to extend by a further 12 months.
In the short term, Hojlund will be looking to continue his fine form in the Europa League when Man United take on FCSB in Thursday's clash in Romania.
