Leeds United are reportedly interested in signing Manchester United midfielder James Garner this summer.
The 21-year-old is currently enjoying his loan spell with Championship outfit Nottingham Forest, where he has scored three goals and provided six assists in 36 games across all competitions.
According to The Athletic, Leeds have been impressed with Garner's performances this season and they are contemplating a summer move to sign the midfielder.
With the future of Kalvin Phillips uncertain, it is thought that the Whites will be in the market for midfield reinforcements ahead of the 2022-23 campaign, and the likes of Garner and Red Bull Salzburg's Brenden Aaronson are believed to be on their list of targets.
Southampton have also been linked with the England Under-21 international, who has a contract with the Red Devils until June 2024.
It remains to be seen whether Man United would be prepared to sell one of their academy graduates to rivals Leeds, but if the midfielder cannot be guaranteed first-team football at Old Trafford next season, then a permanent exit could be on the cards.
