Leicester City will reportedly have to fend off competition from other Premier League clubs if they are to land Lille midfielder Boubakary Soumare this summer.
The former Paris Saint-Germain youngster has played a key role under Christophe Galtier this season, making 30 Ligue 1 appearances as Lille march towards the title.
Soumare's performances have supposedly attracted the attention of Leicester, who are thought to be preparing a £35m bid, while Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have previously been credited with an interest.
Now, Foot Mercato reports that Aston Villa, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Everton have all joined the race for Soumare's signature, but Leicester are still at the head of the queue.
The report adds that talks between Lille and Leicester are already at an advanced stage, and the Foxes have already tabled an undisclosed offer to the Ligue 1 leaders.
Soumare's existing deal at Lille is due to expire in the summer of 2022, and he has totalled one goal and three assists in 110 appearances for Les Dogues since 2017.
