Manchester City have expressed an interest in bidding for Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann, according to reports.
The 25-year-old, whose contract at the Vicente Calderon runs until 2021, has scored 65 goals in 121 games in all competition for the Spanish outfit.
According to The Mirror, City are ready to launch a £70m bid for Griezmann and spark a major transfer battle with city rivals Manchester United.
Citizens boss Pep Guardiola is said to be keen to partner the France international with Sergio Aguero, while Red Devils manager Jose Mourinho reportedly wants him to replace Wayne Rooney.
Griezmann was top scorer at last summer's European Championships with six goals for the hosts and beaten finalists.
