Manchester United will reportedly move for Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford if the Red Devils fail to convince David de Gea to sign a new contract at Old Trafford.

United are still struggling to agree terms with De Gea, and it is appearing increasingly unlikely that the Spain international will sign a new contract with the 20-time English champions.

According to The Sun, United are already preparing for life after De Gea, and the Premier League giants have identified Pickford as the perfect replacement.

The 24-year-old has impressed for Everton since a 2017 move from Sunderland, and he also played a key role in England reaching the semi-finals of the 2018 World Cup.

The stopper only signed a lucrative new contract with Everton in September, however, meaning that the Toffees would be in a strong position when it comes to any potential negotiations.
