Manchester United, Manchester City in bidding war for Joao Cancelo?

A report claims that £53m-rated Juventus defender Joao Cancelo could be on his way to the Premier League with one of Manchester United or Manchester City.

Manchester United and Manchester City are reportedly going to battle it out for Juventus right-back Joao Cancelo.

The 24-year-old is expected to be made available to purchase by the Italian champions this summer, just 12 months after being signed from Valencia.

Juve are said to be willing to cash in on Cancelo should his £53m valuation be met, giving them a £19m profit on the Portugal international.

Tuttosport reports that the Bianconeri have not been convinced by Cancelo's performances this season and, despite a change of manager at the Allianz Stadium in the coming weeks, they are listening to offers.

Premier League rivals Man United and Man City are keen on the versatile defender, it is claimed, and it may be a straight shootout for his signature.

Cancelo featured 33 times for Juventus in all competitions in the 2018-19 campaign.
