Both Marcus Rashford and Luke Shaw are reportedly set to be offered new contracts by Manchester United, despite recent form and speculation linking them with moves away.

Manchester United are reportedly planning to open contract discussions with Marcus Rashford and Luke Shaw.

Neither England international has been able to nail down a regular place in the starting lineup this season, with the pair having been in and out of the team.

Both men have only played 19 of United's 29 Premier League games this season, while Rashford has scored just five goals throughout all competitions.

Despite that, the club are set to open contract talks with them as the Red Devils view them as part of a key group that is the future of the squad, according to ESPN.

Gareth Southgate dropped the striker out of his most recent England squad selection based on his form, and there have been links to him leaving Old Trafford.

Rashford and Shaw are out of contract with Manchester United in 15 months, but the forward is said to be considering his future before putting pen to paper on a new deal.

Rashford has started only 10 Premier League games this season, and only three since the turn of the year, while Shaw has not started a league game for more than a month having fallen behind Alex Telles in the pecking order.
