Manchester United are reportedly willing to sell third-choice goalkeeper Sergio Romero for £2m during the January transfer window.

Manchester United are reportedly willing to sell goalkeeper Sergio Romero for £2m during the January window.

The Argentina international was not given permission to leave Old Trafford earlier this year, despite dropping down to third choice in the pecking order.

The 33-year-old has not played a single minute since the beginning of the campaign and will be able to discuss a move with foreign clubs in January.

According to Football Insider, United will attempt to part ways with the stopper as soon as possible in 2021, either on a permanent or temporary basis.

While a £2m sale is United's preferred option, the report suggests that a loan agreement with Romero's wages being paid in full will also be considered.

Romero is expected to receive interest from Europe and the MLS.
