Manchester United have opened talks with the agent of Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot, according to a report.
The Red Devils are said to been keen to bring in the France international in the summer, either as a standalone transfer or part of a swap deal with Paul Pogba.
Rabiot has been restricted to just seven starts since joining Juve as a free agent from Paris Saint-Germain last year and is believed to be seeking a way out of the Allianz Stadium.
Italian outlet Calciomercato claims that United are prepared to offer the 25-year-old an escape route and are negotiating personal terms with the player's representatives.
The report suggests that Rabiot's salary could prove a potential stumbling block, but United remain confident of agreeing a deal ahead of next season.
Carlo Ancelotti's Everton have also been tipped to make a move for Rabiot.
