Neymar to get new £500,000-a-week deal?

Reports claim that Barcelona will offer Neymar a six-year deal worth £150m in a bid to end speculation about his future.

Barcelona will hand Brazilian star Neymar a new contract worth £500,000-a-week as the Spanish champions look to ward off alleged interest from Manchester United, according to reports.

The 23-year-old forward was the subject of speculation of a move to United throughout the summer transfer window, although the player himself never suggested that he was interested in a move away from Camp Nou.

Following reports earlier this week that he was to be offered a new deal, The Sun claim that Barca are preparing a six-year deal worth £150m.

The paper also reports that the club will open talks with Neymar just before Christmas in a bid to prevent any rumours about his future during the January transfer window.

The alleged offer would see Neymar earning just under the salary of the world's best-paid player, Barcelona teammate Lionel Messi.
