No developments on Michael Carrick's Manchester United future

Michael Carrick says that he is yet to start new contract talks with Manchester United, despite the fact that his current deal expires in the summer.

Michael Carrick has insisted that there is "no news" regarding his future at Manchester United.

The 34-year-old's current deal is due to expire at the end of the season and according to the player himself, talks are yet to start over a potential extension.

"Honestly, I don't know. There's no news at all," he told reporters following the 3-2 win over Arsenal yesterday afternoon.

"I've heard nothing really, so I can't comment at this stage."

Carrick has been at Old Trafford since his £18.6m switch from Tottenham Hotspur in 2006.
