Spanish starlet Dani Olmo hits out at Dinamo Zagreb for pricing him out of a move this summer amid reported interest from Manchester United.

Spanish youth international Dani Olmo has hit out at Dinamo Zagreb for pricing him out of a summer transfer amid reported interest from Manchester United.

The 21-year-old impressed potential suitors during a triumphant Euro Under-21 Championship with Spain, winning the man of the match award in the final against Germany.

According to reports, Olmo attracted keen interest from the Red Devils, who are said to have launched an unsuccessful £35m bid for the winger.

Reflecting on the summer and the valuation placed on his head by Zagreb, Olmo told Sportske Novosti: "I think this price is too high.

"Not because I think I'm worth less, but because I play in the Croatian league, and the foreign clubs pay attention to this.

"Realistically, it's difficult for a player in the Croatian league to reach this price."

The Croatian side value Olmo at around £36.5m and refused to lower their price when approached by interested clubs over the transfer window.

Olmo spent seven years at La Masia, Barcelona's esteemed academy, and has since made 108 senior appearances for Zagreb since making his debut in 2014.
