Manchester United 'scouring Europe for goalkeepers'

Manchester United are reportedly scouring Europe for a replacement for outbound number one goalkeeper David de Gea, with Dominik Livakovic a viable option from Zagreb.

Manchester United have been extensively scouting Europe to find a replacement for outbound goalkeeper David de Gea, according to a report.

Despite months of talks, the Spanish international has still not put pen to paper on a contract extension, despite his current deal expiring next summer.

According to The Sun, the Red Devils are now resigned to losing the 28-year-old in January and are making contingency plans for his departure.

Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain are the front-runners for De Gea's signature and would not be put off by a £30m asking price, despite the fact the former Atletico Madrid stopper will only have six months remaining on his United deal.

One of the goalkeepers that could replace De Gea is Dinamo Zagreb's number one Dominik Livakovic, with the Red Devils having sent scouts to watch him against Rosenborg in the Champions League.

United do have Sergio Romero and Dean Henderson contracted beyond next summer but are believed to be chasing a new number first choice.
