Paul Pogba agent labels journalists "parrots"

Paul Pogba's agent Mino Raiola brands journalists "parrots" as the Frenchman closes in on a world-record move to Manchester United.

Paul Pogba's agent Mino Raiola has hit out at journalists for their coverage of the Frenchman's impending world-record transfer from Juventus to Manchester United.

The 23-year-old is in the final throes of agreeing a return to Old Trafford in a deal worth more than £100m, with conflicting reports in the UK and Italian press over how advanced the negotiations are.

Raiola earlier denied that the deal would be concluded today, and has now branded journalists "parrots" for claiming that the transfer has already been completed.

Posting on Twitter, Raiola wrote: "Journalist = parrots No deal done between Clubs. It's a game between Italy press and UK press who announce it first and who is worse."

Negotiations were thought to have hit a stumbling block in the last week over which side would pay the estimated £20m agent fee due to Raiola as part of the transfer. United are now said to have agreed to fund Raiola's fee, in addition to an initial £92m to Juventus.
