Sergio Ramos injury to spell the end of his Real Madrid career?

Sergio Ramos's knee injury could be the beginning of the end of his time at Real Madrid, according to a report.

Sergio Ramos's knee injury could reportedly spell the end of his career at Real Madrid.

The 34-year-old's contract at the Bernabeu is due to expire at the end of June, and it is understood that talks over a potential new deal in the Spanish capital have stalled.

Manchester United continue to be linked with the Spain international, who remains a key figure for Los Blancos despite the uncertainty surrounding his future.

The centre-back has been forced to undergo a knee operation to address a meniscus issue, though, and is not expected to be available for selection until April.

According to Marca, Ramos's injury could spell the end of his career at the club, with the injury lay-off 'further complicating the situation' when it comes to the captain's future.

The former Sevilla youngster has made 668 appearances for Los Blancos in all competitions, contributing 100 goals and winning a host of trophies, including five La Liga titles and four Champions League crowns.
