Report: William Carvalho not leaving Sporting Lisbon

A report claims that William Carvalho will not leave Sporting Lisbon on transfer deadline day.

William Carvalho will reportedly remain with Sporting Lisbon on transfer deadline day.

The Portuguese international has been strongly linked with a move away from Sporting this summer, with Manchester United and Arsenal both believed to be interested in the midfielder.

However, according to Sky Sports News, Carvalho wants to continue his development at Sporting, with a move next summer a more likely occurrence.

The 22-year-old has been with Sporting since 2005.
