Report: Chelsea join race for Manchester United's Anthony Martial

A report claims that Manchester United forward Anthony Martial is wanted by Chelsea, who must first offload a couple of players to fund a transfer.

Chelsea have reportedly become the latest club to show an interest in signing outcast forward Anthony Martial from Manchester United.

The France international is said to be seeking a move away from Old Trafford during the summer window after starting fewer than half of the Red Devils' league fixtures this term.

Martial has already been touted as a target for Arsenal and Juventus, while The Telegraph suggests that Chelsea are now also in the running to sign the 22-year-old.

Blues chiefs have already made contact with United to discuss whether the former Monaco ace is available to purchase, it is claimed, but Jose Mourinho would rather sell to a foreign club.

Even if Chelsea persuade their rivals to sell the French attacker, however, they will first have to offload a couple of players to fund the move.
