Report: Manchester United eye Benfica striker Goncalo Guedes

Benfica centre-forward Goncalo Guedes is reportedly one of Manchester United's January transfer targets.

Manchester United's under-pressure manager Louis van Gaal has reportedly added Benfica striker Goncalo Guedes to his list of potential January transfer targets.

Goals have been hard to come by for Van Gaal's men this term, having found the net more than once in just three of their last 13 outings in all competitions.

According to Calciomercato, 19-year-old Guedes is among a collection of players that Van Gaal has identified to ease the burden on the likes of current striking options Anthony Martial and Wayne Rooney.

The Portugal international, who has found the net three times this season, was recently linked with a switch to Chelsea.
