Louis van Gaal: 'I am under pressure'

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal accepts that questions will be asked of his future following a six-game winless run in charge of the Red Devils.

Louis van Gaal has admitted that he is under pressure at Manchester United following a poor run of results for the English giants.

Norwich's 2-1 win at Old Trafford on Saturday means that Man United are now six games without a win in all competitions - four of which have been in the Premier League.

The Reds also bowed out in the group stages of the Champions League, and Van Gaal has accepted that there will now be speculation surrounding his future.

The Dutchman, however, has warned his club about making a drastic change at this stage of the season.

"Belief in a manager is important and when you lose that belief decreases. That's happening now. I can't close my eyes to that," Van Gaal told reporters. "I don't think a change in manager now will change things. I am - or maybe was - a very successful manager."

French teenager Anthony Martial was on the scoresheet on Saturday, but goals from Cameron Jerome and Alexander Tettey saw Norwich win at Old Trafford for the first time in the Premier League.

A large section of Man United fans on social media have called for former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho to be appointed following Saturday's defeat.
