A report claims that Borussia Dortmund youngster Jadon Sancho, formerly on Manchester City's books, is a £70m target for Manchester United.

Manchester United reportedly want to make Jadon Sancho their marquee summer signing by spending £70m to bring the Borussia Dortmund youngster back to England.

Sancho has lit up the Bundesliga during his spell with BVB, scoring eight goals and setting up 13 more in 33 top-flight appearances since joining from Manchester City in 2017.

The 18-year-old has earned praise from a number of opposition managers, most recently Tottenham Hotspur's Mauricio Pochettino, and he is believed to be on the radar of numerous European clubs.

According to The Sun, however, a return back to the Premier League could be a possibility as Man United want to sign the England international on a long-term deal.

Dortmund are said to have informed the Red Devils that it will take an offer of £70m to land Sancho, which they would be willing to hand over to sign one of the continent's hottest talents.

Sancho failed to make the grade at Man City and left despite Pep Guardiola's best efforts to keep him in place, though the Citizens do have a 15% sell-on clause, as well as the option of matching any offers from rival clubs such as United.

Paris Saint-Germain are also believed to have made their interest known.
