Luke Shaw 'to be given another chance by Jose Mourinho'

A report claims that Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw, overlooked for large parts of the last two campaigns, will be used heavily during the club's pre-season tour.

Luke Shaw will reportedly be given another chance to prove himself to Jose Mourinho during Manchester United's pre-season tour of the United States.

The out-of-favour left-back started just 14 games in all competitions for the Red Devils last season and was often criticised by demanding boss Mourinho.

Shaw is now into the final 12 months of his Old Trafford contract, meaning that United risk losing their £30m defender for nothing at the end of the campaign.

Having supposedly turned down a move to Everton, The Sun suggests that Mourinho will now attempt to integrate the ex-Southampton ace into his first-team plans for 2018-19.

United play five games during the US leg of their pre-season campaign, and Shaw is expected to feature heavily after returning to training ahead of schedule.
