Wesley Sneijder 'would consider' Louis van Gaal offer

Galatasaray midfielder Wesley Sneijder says that he would have to give consideration to any offer made to him by Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal.

Wesley Sneijder has conceded that he would find it difficult to ignore an approach from Louis van Gaal to join him at Manchester United.

The 30-year-old has been linked with a switch to Old Trafford on two separate occasions, but he instead ended up signing for Inter Milan and then more recently his current club Galatasaray.

However, with Netherlands coach Van Gaal confirmed as United's new manager after the ongoing World Cup, Dutch international Sneijder has revealed that he "would have to at least consider" any offer put to him by his mentor.

"In the Netherlands, Van Gaal is something like the head teacher of a school. Not everyone is lucky enough to get into his good books," Sneijder is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.

"He trains his players very hard and always expects the highest standards. I am happy at Galatasaray, I have established myself at the club and have settled in. However, if Van Gaal were to make me an offer, I would have to at least consider it. Nobody from the Netherlands can simply reject Van Gaal."

Sneijder has been named in the Holland starting lineup for their World Cup encounter against Australia, which gets underway shortly. Follow live text updates of the clash here.
