Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly not in the running to sign Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes during the summer transfer window.
The Portugal international is being heavily linked with a switch to the Premier League after a season in which he contributed 23 goals and 14 assists in Portugal's top flight and the Europa League.
Spurs had been suggested as one of the clubs who were interested in Fernandes, a player who could have been regarded as a like-for-like replacement for Christian Eriksen.
However, the Daily Mail claims that the North London outfit will not be making an approach for the 24-year-old in the coming months.
That would seemingly leave the path open for Liverpool and Manchester United, who may be willing to meet Sporting's £50m valuation of the player.
