Samuel Umtiti has reportedly informed Barcelona that he will remain at Camp Nou if he is provided with a pay-rise.
In recent months, Umtiti has been linked with a transfer to either Manchester United or Manchester City, who both are allegedly prepared to meet a release clause in the defender's contract.
Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde has previously claimed that he is confident of keeping the French international, who has made 68 appearances for the Catalan giants since moving to the club in July 2016.
However, according to Sport, Umtiti has told Barcelona that he would like a salary of £5.3m per year in order to pen fresh terms with the La Liga leaders.
Barcelona have allegedly decided to prioritise a new contract for the 24-year-old, who has made 19 starts in Spain's top flight and the Champions League this season.
