Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur battling for Denis Zakaria?

Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Denis Zakaria.

Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Denis Zakaria has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.

The two Premier League giants are expected to be in the market for new midfielders in the upcoming windows as they look to find replacements for key men.

According to Bild, that has led to United and Spurs identifying Switzerland international Zakaria as a possible addition.

The 22-year-old has recently began his third campaign at Monchengladbach, with seven goals coming from 68 appearances in the Bundesliga.

While Zakaria still has just under three years remaining on his contract, Monchengladbach will still likely demand in excess of £50m should they receive any offers.

Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Inter Milan are also said to be monitoring the situation.
