Arturo Vidal rules out Manchester United switch

Juventus star Arturo Vidal pours cold water on the speculation linking him with a big-money switch to Manchester United.

Highly-rated Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal has dealt Manchester United's reported pursuit of him a fatal blow by distancing himself from a move to Old Trafford.

On Wednesday, FIFA-registered agent Giulio Tedeschi was quoted as saying that the Premier League giants could wrap up a big-money move for the Chilean in the "second week of August".

However, the 27-year-old himself has broken his silence on the speculation, admitting that he may leave Turin this summer but pouring cold water on a move to United.

"I don't know if I will stay at Juventus, I'm happy here in Turin," he told Sky Sports Italia. "I will talk with [Juventus coach Massimo] Allegri on Monday. I'm not going to Manchester."

Vidal, whose contract with the Bianconeri expires in 2017, has been a driving force in Juve's midfield in recent years, helping the Italians to three successive Scudetti titles in Serie A.
