West Ham United offer Declan Rice the opportunity to pen an eight-year deal with the club, according to a report.

West Ham United have reportedly offered Declan Rice the chance to pen an eight-year deal with the club.

The 23-year-old has again been in impressive form for the Hammers during the 2021-22 campaign, scoring five times and contributing four assists in 48 appearances in all competitions.

Rice still has more than two years left on his current deal, while the club have the option to extend the agreement until June 2025, placing them in a strong position when it comes to his future.

However, the speculation surrounding the England international's future continues to gather pace, with the midfielder thought to have already rejected a couple of fresh offers from West Ham in recent weeks.

Manchester United are believed to be keen to sign Rice in the upcoming market, while Chelsea and Manchester City also continue to be credited with an interest in his services.

According to talkSPORT, the Hammers are refusing to give up on keeping the midfielder on a long-term basis and have now placed a huge new deal on the table.

The report claims that David Moyes's side have made it clear that they are prepared to hand the former Chelsea youngster an eight-year deal worth £200,000 a week.

"Let me tell you the lengths West Ham are going to keep Declan Rice at the football club. It is my understanding that West Ham are 99% certain they will not sell Declan Rice this summer. Declan Rice has been offered an eight-year deal at West Ham United worth £200,000-a-week on a rising scale to match inflation," said talkSPORT host Jim White.

"An eight-year deal worth £200,000-a-week. At this stage he is showing no inclinations to sign it. This eight-year deal could become a ten-year deal, if Declan and his people wanted such a deal worth £200,000-a-week."

West Ham also allegedly believe that "there is next to no chance" of any club matching their £150m valuation for the defensive midfielder during this summer's transfer window.

Rice has starred for Moyes's team in the Premier League this season, scoring once and providing four assists in 34 appearances, with the Hammers currently battling for a Europa League finish.

The Englishman also played a leading role in his side reaching the semi-finals of the Europa League, scoring three times in 10 appearances in the European competition.

Since breaking into the first team in 2017, Rice has made 193 appearances for West Ham, contributing 10 goals and nine assists in the process.

The midfielder is also a key player for England and will be a part of the Three Lions squad at the 2022 World Cup providing that he is available for selection.

West Ham are currently three points behind sixth-placed Man United in the Premier League table with a match in hand, and their final two league games of the campaign are against Manchester City and Brighton & Hove Albion.
