Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane rejects Raphael Varane to Man United rumours

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane rebuffs reports that Jose Mourinho will successfully lure Raphael Varane to Manchester United should he take charge in the summer.

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has insisted that Raphael Varane will not be joining Manchester United anytime soon.

Widespread reports have claimed that former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho will take charge at Old Trafford next season, replacing current manager Louis van Gaal.

It has been claimed that Mourinho will try to sign the France international in the summer should he take charge at United, but Zidane has ruled out a move.

"Of course it is normal Mourinho would want to sign Raphael," Goal.com quotes Zidane as saying. "He knows him well, he brought him here to the club, but I want Varane to stay in Madrid. He is the future of the club."

The 22-year-old joined Real Madrid from Lens in 2011.
