Middlesbrough have reportedly held discussions with Blackburn Rovers regarding the potential loan addition of Jordan Rhodes.
Yesterday afternoon Rovers boss Gary Bowyer rubbished suggestions that his club would consider allowing the 25-year-old to leave Ewood Park.
However, according to BBC Sport, talks between the two clubs have taken place, although no agreement has been reached as yet.
The report adds that Boro were not the only Championship side to be interested in signing the striker, who has scored 13 goals this season.
Rhodes joined Rovers from Huddersfield Town for £8m in 2012.
