Newcastle United striker Callum Wilson has provided an update on his injury rehabilitation.
The 30-year-old has been out of action with a calf problem since December 27 when the Magpies faced Manchester United in a 1-1 draw, and there had been fears he would miss the entire season.
The forward made 15 appearances in the Premier League prior to his injury, finding the back of the net six times so far.
"It is going slow, slower than I would have liked. These things cannot be rushed really. I am out here doing a bit of a rehab week," Wilson told The Footballer's Football Podcast.
"I am positive that I will be back this season and have a good chunk of games left. I have got to make sure that when I am back I am back to stay and back to make a difference."
Newcastle United will be back in action on Saturday when they face Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League.
