Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has admitted that he has sympathy for West Bromwich Albion after his side's late 2-1 win at St James' Park on Sunday.
Papiss Cisse deflected the ball into the net from Sammy Ameobi's shot in injury time to earn the Magpies the three points in front of their home fans.
"You've got to feel for West Brom today because they have played well," Pardew told BBC Sport.
"I thought first half we just shaded it and second half we lost our way, but our work rate was great and in the end we got a break. To be honest we haven't had too many breaks this season."
The victory has moved Newcastle up to 10th in the Premier League table.
