James Perch set for Derby County loan move

Derby County are keen on signing Newcastle United defender James Perch on a short-term loan deal.

Newcastle United's James Perch is set for a loan move to Derby County, according to The Mirror.

The Rams right-back, John Brayford, will be sidelined for a number of weeks through injury and boss Nigel Clough is reported to be keen on the Magpies' 26-year-old defender.

Russell Anderson is expected to feature in that position for County when they take on Southampton at Pride Park today.

Perch moved to St James's Park from Nottingham Forest in July 2010.
