Micky Quinn: 'Alan Pardew's time is up at Newcastle United'

Former Magpies striker Micky Quinn believes that Alan Pardew's time as Newcastle United manager is "over".

Former Newcastle United player Micky Quinn believes that Alan Pardew's reign as manager at St James' Park is almost over.

A number of supporters called for the 53-year-old to get the chop during Saturday's 4-0 defeat to Southampton at St Mary's.

So far, the Tyneside outfit have stuck by Pardew, but Quinn believes that his position is now untenable after 'losing the dressing room'.

"I think it is over for Pardew," Quinn told talkSPORT. "[I] think he has taken them as far as they can and, on that performance on Saturday, he has lost the dressing room."

Pardew signed an eight-year contract with Newcastle back in 2012.
