Demba Ba is angry that the press continue to link the Senegalese striker with a move away from Tyneside.

Demba Ba has admitted that the he is fed up with speculation linking him with a move away from Newcastle United.

The Senegalese striker is determined to build upon a prolific first season on Tyneside and is not interested in transfer speculation.

Ba told the Journal: "The newspapers and I are not very friendly at the moment. For months and months and months people have been talking about me but there is nothing happening.

"If they hear something from me about my future, that is the truth. Otherwise everything that is said is not true. I have never said anything other than I love being at Newcastle."

Ba scored 16 goals in his debut campaign at Newcastle, quickly establishing himself as a firm favourite with the Geordie faithful.
