Senegalese striker Demba Ba has insisted that he has no knowledge of reports that have linked him with a move away from Newcastle United.
It has been speculated over the past 24 hours that the 27-year-old had refused the club's offer of a new contract, thus leading to rumours that he was seeking an exit from Tyneside.
However, speaking after his two-goal contribution during Newcastle's 3-0 win over Wigan Athletic last night, Ba was adamant that he is focused on turning out positive displays for his employers.
"I didn't even know what was said in the papers because I didn't read the papers," he told the club's official website. "All I know is that we've proved on the pitch tonight and what we did on Wednesday that we still have the spirit and still want to win and go forward."
Ba joined the Magpies on a free transfer from West Ham United in the summer of 2011.
