Facundo Ferreyra: 'It was an easy decision to join Newcastle United'

Facundo Ferreyra reveals that he didn't have to think twice to make the decision to join Newcastle United on a season-long loan from Shakhtar Donetsk.

New Newcastle United signing Facundo Ferreyra has revealed that it was an "easy decision" for him to join the club.

The 23-year-old signed for the Magpies on a season-long loan deal from Shakhtar Donetsk, and the Argentine also admitted that his friend Fabricio Coloccini played a part in the move.

Ferreyra told the club's official website: "I am very pleased to sign for Newcastle United. I like the Premier League and when I knew that Newcastle were interested in me, it was a very easy decision to make.

"I spoke to my friend Fabricio Coloccini, and when he told me about the club, I didn't need to think twice."

Ferreyra scored six goals in 13 matches for the Ukrainian side last season.
