Alan Pardew unsure of Yohan Cabaye's Newcastle United stay

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew admits that Yohan Cabaye could still leave the club, despite making his return as a substitute in their win against Fulham.

Alan Pardew has admitted that Yohan Cabaye could still leave Newcastle United despite coming on as a substitute in their win against Fulham this afternoon.

Arsenal had a £10m bid rejected for the midfielder earlier in the summer, but could increase their offer before the transfer window closes on Monday.

Cabaye received a mixed reaction from the fans when he came on for Vurnon Anita.

"It doesn't mean he's staying because the window is staying open until 11pm on Monday," manager Pardew told BBC Sport.

"It's a worry and we've marked his agent's card that if he wants to do business then he should do it early.

"The fans got it right, it was a mixed reaction, some were saying Newcastle comes first and others welcoming him because he's a great player."

Cabaye joined Newcastle in 2011 from Lille.
