Newcastle United are reportedly considering a move for Yohan Cabaye, who left St James' Park for Paris Saint-Germain 18 months ago.
The 29-year-old has been linked with a return to the Premier League this summer due to limited first-team action at the Parc des Princes.
According to the Daily Star, the Magpies, who are now under the guidance of new head coach Steve McClaren, have contacted Cabaye's representatives regarding a season-long loan.
However, the Frenchman's camp are believed to be exploring all options, with Crystal Palace, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United all being touted as potential suitors.
