Stoke City defender Marc Wilson has made the first step in his recovery from a broken leg after coming through a friendly game unscathed.
The 25-year-old lasted 75 minutes against Northampton Town in his first match in over three months after breaking his leg against Sunderland in October.
"It went as well as could have been expected today," he told the club's official website. "It's been three months now since I had my operation, so to get back out there and get some minutes under my belt feels really good.
"I've had to be patient, because as a player you want to get back as soon as possible. But with a broken leg you have to take your time, be clever and make sure you do everything right."
The Potters are currently 10th in the Premier League on 30 points having played 25 games this season.
