Daniel Ayala is looking forward to gaining first-team experience on loan at Nottingham Forest.

New Nottingham Forest loan signing Daniel Ayala has expressed his delight at joining the club and is hoping to get first-team football during the season.

Ayala signed a year-long deal from Norwich City yesterday and is now looking forward to gaining vital playing time.

"I'm really looking forward to starting to play and starting to train with the other lads," Ayala told Forest's official website.

"I found out about Forest's interest about three days ago when Norwich told me I wasn't going to be playing too much, so I decided the best thing to do was go on loan and play football."

Ayala previously had successful loan spells at Hull City and Derby County when at Liverpool.
