Norwich boss Chris Hughton believes that his side deserved a share of the spoils from their 2-1 defeat to West Brom this afternoon.

Norwich City manager Chris Hughton has expressed his belief that his side deserved a point from their match against West Bromwich Albion this afternoon.

Hughton saw his side blow a 1-0 lead to eventually lose 2-1 following Romelu Lukaku's 82nd-minute winner.

However, Hughton believes that his side had enough of the ball to warrant a share of the spoils.

"I think we should have got a point on the balance of play. Albion are a good footballing team, at home, so you know they are going to have a percentage of possession," said Hughton.

"But I thought we had good spells in the game where we had real good possession, certainly for an away team. There weren't many clear-cut chances and it was even and we deserved to come away with something.

"The first goal was frustrating because they are a threat from set-plays and disappointing as it shouldn't have been a corner in the first place and was a goal-kick. The timing of the goal gave them the lift they needed."

The result was Norwich's first defeat in 10 league games and leaves them 10th in the Premier League table.
