Alex Neil disappointed by lapse in concentration

Norwich City boss Alex Neil admits that he was disappointed to see his team make hard work of their 3-2 victory over Charlton Athletic.

Norwich City manager Alex Neil has admitted that he was relieved to leave The Valley with a 3-2 triumph over Charlton Athletic.

The Canaries squandered a 2-0 advantage before Cameron Jerome netted a late winner, and although Neil revealed that he was pleased with his team's performance, he believes that they were fortunate not to pay for two lapses in concentration.

The Scot is quoted by BBC Sport as saying: "It was a good performance, but there were two moments of slack passing from us and we got punished twice. Then we had to force the issue to win a game that should have been out of sight.

"We got punished and 2-2 was really a travesty, so thankfully Cameron came on and managed to get the winner.

"I have told the players I wasn't happy with the slackness that has almost cost us. Against the better teams, we are not going to get away with that."

Neil has won four of his first six matches in charge since moving to Carrow Road from Hamilton Academical.
