Norwich City boss Chris Hughton reveals that he expects new signing Luciano Becchio to "hit the ground running".

Norwich City manager Chris Hughton has revealed that he expects Luciano Becchio to "hit the ground running" following the striker's move from Leeds United.

The Argentinian signed a three-and-a-half-year contract with the Canaries on transfer deadline day in a deal that saw Steve Morison join Leeds.

"Becchio is a player in good form this season, which is important," Hughton told reporters.

"You want someone who is going to hit the ground running and give us something, whether it is starting or on the bench."

Norwich continue their Premier League campaign on Saturday when they travel to Queens Park Rangers.
