Nottingham Forest and Sheffield Wednesday head into the half-time break goalless after neither side were able to take their chances.

Nottingham Forest and Sheffield Wednesday have finished the first half goalless, despite both sides having chances to break the deadlock.

Forest had the first opportunity to take the lead courtesy of a shot from Andy Reid, which was comfortably saved by goalkeeper Chris Kirkland.

The away side also had chances on goal in the early stages of the half as Jay Bothroyd powered his effort towards goal, but Lee Camp managed to push the ball out for a corner, which was easily cleared.

The home team began to get on top towards the 30-minute mark and Jermaine Jenas had a strong chance of snatching a one-goal lead but his shot was vitally blocked by Anthony Gardner.

Reid attempted to trouble Wednesday's defence with a corner from the left byline but Jose Semedo managed to clear the cross and keep Wednesday in the game.
