Half-Time Report: Sheffield Wednesday lead Nottingham Forest at interval

Nottingham Forest trail Sheffield Wednesday 2-1 at the City Ground at half time.

A Chris Maguire penalty and a late strike from Lewis Buxton have given Sheffield Wednesday a 2-1 lead over Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.

Wednesday took the lead on 15 minutes when Danny Collins upended Maguire in the penalty area, paving the way for the striker to convert from the spot to make it 1-0.

Forest went in search of an equaliser and they very nearly got it through Matt Derbyshire following a counter-attack, only for Miguel Angel Llera to clear off the line.

The Reds did manage to level the contest on the brink of half time through Jamie Mackie who converted Jamie Patterson's cross, but Wednesday hit back instantly when Buxton bundled home a corner to regain Wednesday's lead going into the interval.
