Half-Time Report: Danny Collins puts Nottingham Forest ahead

Nottingham Forest are 1-0 up at Ipswich Town in the Championship, thanks to an early Danny Collins header.

Nottingham Forest lead 1-0 at Ipswich Town in the Championship, thanks to an early Danny Collins header.

Collins gave Forest the perfect start by heading home Daniel Fox's corner after just four minutes.

Christophe Berra and Jonathan Williams both then headed wide before Collins almost got his second, finding space after a free kick but shooting off target from the centre of the penalty box.

Forest again came close to doubling their lead towards the end of the half when Jamie Mackie escaped the offside trap, only to see his driven effort tipped wide.

They will be the happier of the two sides, though, with the hosts failing to create any clear chances in the opening 45 minutes.
